A good quality bronze sculpture by Lucien Gibert a mother holding her child, representing "motherhood" , a French sculptor 1904-1988.
Lucien Gibert arrived in 1921 in Paris, he followed courses with Jean Boucher at the ''Ecole des Beaux Arts''. He exhibited frequently at the ''Salon des Independants'' from 1923.
He received numerous public commissions, work can be found in museums and public collections. Museum La Piscine in Roubaix, the Quai Branly Museum Collection in Paris and the ''Thirties Museum'' in Boulogne-Billancourt.
